How to Unlock Scar Dreamlight Valley: Requirements and Quest Guide

Bringing iconic Disney characters into your magical village is one of the most exciting aspects of Disney Dreamlight Valley. Among the famous villains available, Scar from The Lion King offers an engaging storyline that expands the main narrative. Unlocking this classic character requires fulfilling specific biome requirements and completing key story missions.

Prerequisites to Meet Scar

Before you can invite Scar to roam your village, you must complete several initial progression steps. First, players must unlock access to the Sunlit Plateau biome, which costs 7,000 Dreamlight. Additionally, you need to complete main story quests including The Curse to ensure key pillars in the valley are restored.

Finding Scar's Lair

Once the prerequisites are complete, head directly to the northeastern region of the Sunlit Plateau. Look for a massive giant mammoth skull resting near the dried-up riverbed. Head inside the skull's entrance to locate Scar, who will immediately offer you his starting mission, Nature and Nurture.

Exploring the Vitalys Mines

Scar will direct you to investigate the Vitalys Mines located inside the waterfall of the Sunlit Plateau. Inside, you must navigate through blocked pathways by clearing rocks and Night Thorns using your pickaxe. Reach the upper camp area to locate a green chest containing a recipe for Extra Fizzy Root Beer.

Restoring the Sunlit Plateau

Prepare the special root beer using dried ginger, sugarcane, and vanilla, then place it into the explosive barrel near the mines' water source alongside Crackling Candy. This unblocks the water flow and causes a dark portal to appear outside. Follow the mysterious figure through the portal, retrieve the Lifeless Orb, and plant it at the Pillar of Nurturing in the Sunlit Plateau to finish welcoming Scar.
